Overview
GhostMail is a Chrome extension that generates disposable email addresses using the mail.tm API. This policy explains what data is handled and how.
Data collected
GhostMail handles two categories of data:
Authentication credentials (auto-generated email address, password, and API token for mail.tm accounts)
Personal communications (emails received by the disposable address)
All data is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. No data is stored on any server operated by the developer.
Third-party services
The extension communicates exclusively with https://api.mail.tm to create accounts, authenticate, and fetch messages. No other external service is contacted. Please review mail.tm's own privacy policy at https://mail.tm for details on how they handle data on their end.
Data sharing
We do not sell, transfer, or share any user data with third parties. Data is used solely to provide the disposable email functionality.
Data retention
Data persists in your browser's local storage until you delete an identity within the extension or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data.
