UltraBlock Pro
UltraBlock Pro ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that blocks ads, trackers, and malware. This privacy policy explains what data the Extension handles and how.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
UltraBlock Pro does not collect, transmit, store on external servers, or share any of the following:
Personally identifiable information
Browsing history or visited URLs
Search queries
Clicks, keystrokes, or user activity
Location data
Financial or payment information
Authentication credentials
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The Extension stores the following data in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) only. This data never leaves your device:
Your blocking preferences and settings (on/off toggles, whitelist, custom rules)
Blocking statistics (counts of ads, trackers, and threats blocked)
Filter list data and update timestamps
License key status
3. Cloud Sync (Pro Feature)
If you enable Cloud Sync, your settings are synced using Chrome's built-in sync storage (chrome.storage.sync). This is managed entirely by Google/Chrome and is subject to Google's privacy policy. UltraBlock Pro does not operate any sync servers and does not have access to this data.
4. License Verification
When you activate a Pro license key, the key may be verified against our licensing server to confirm its validity. Only the license key string is transmitted — no personal information, browser data, or usage data is sent.
5. Website Reports (Pro Feature)
If you submit a website report using the built-in report tool, the reported domain name, report type, and optional description you enter are sent to us for the purpose of improving blocking rules. No browsing history or personal information is included.
6. Permissions
The Extension requests certain browser permissions solely to perform ad and tracker blocking. A full justification for each permission is available on the Chrome Web Store listing page.
7. Third Parties
UltraBlock Pro does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or data collection libraries. No user data is sold or transferred to third parties.
8. Children's Privacy
The Extension does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
